I have a comprehensive track record of researching, designing, and implementing large-scale and innovative community engagement activities, creative youth development programs, placemaking initiatives, and celebratory and fundraising events. In addition I have an extensive background launching new initiatives, building partnerships with external organizations, and overseeing events ranging in size from 15 to 3,600 participants.
In my personal and professional life I have worked extensively with nonprofits in the fields of art, education, and healthcare. Through these positions I have developed countless connections to people and organizations doing incredible things in Massachusetts and beyond. I approach projects from a unique point of view, in part due to both serving and being part of the broader artist, maker, and writer community in Greater Boston.
Outside of work, I am a member of the sketch comedy group, Mister Bismuth, I serve on the Advisory Committee for Boston in 100 Words, and I was previously on the leadership team of Somerville Democrats. As a longtime crafter, I have taken many classes at the myriad arts education programs in the area, including screenprinting, marbling on fabric, wood turning, letter press, encaustic, printmaking, macaron making, stained glass, and flamework. Previously I tutored a student from 10th to 12th grade, and I spent a season WWOOFing (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) in Israel and a season WWOOFing in France.
